Senator Foster Ogola of Bayelsa West in an interview with Deji Adeyanju, a newly appointed director of new media Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), made surprising claims about the gubernatorial elections in Bayelsa.

According to recent reports, a fake official of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has been arrested at Famgbe, Yenagoa. The suspect was reportedly hired to help rig the election in the area.
After adequate questioning, the suspect made confessional statement indicting some government officials, The Nation reports.
Leadership reports that armed thugs have hijacked security process within Ekeremor town, Ekeremor local government area, Bayelsa state, bringing all electoral activities to a halt.
In Southern Ijaw local government, precisely in Amassoma Grammar School, men of the Joint Task Force have reportedly repelled efforts by armed political thugs who attempted to hijack electoral materials meant for some units in the ward.
